CESA 7 Regional Spelling Bees

 

Four regional spelling bees are facilitated by CESA 7, in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Journal. Regional winners advance to the Badger State Spelling Bee and the winner of that competition advances to the Scripps National Spelling Bee held in Washington, D.C.

Scripps Enrollment Information

 

(Schools: Enroll with Scripps by October 16, 2009)

IMPORTANT: Scripps will offer a late enrollment period from October 17, 2009 through December 18, 2009. However, all schools enrolling during the late enrollment period will be subject to a late enrollment fee of $75 per school!

 

Each public, private, parochial, home school, and home school association must enroll with and pay a fee to the Scripps organization in order to participate. The materials/enrollment fee is $99 (home school families who are not in an association pay $10). To contact Scripps, go to www.spellingbee.com

Bonus: From Encyclopaedia Britannica, a free one-year subscription to the Britannica Online Student Edition (a $69.95 value) for use as a prize in your spelling bee program.

Early Enrollment Bonus: Enroll by September 30, and Encyclopaedia Britannica will double your bonus. All schools enrolled by September 30, 2009, will receive TWO free one-year subscriptions to the Britannica Online Student edition.

 

CESA 7 is informed of the schools that enroll and pay their fee to Scripps and can only send out the necessary forms/information for participation in the regional spelling bee to those schools.
